The inside of every Hyundai glass lined tank is coated with Blue Silicon enamel — a nickel-free, food-grade coating that creates a smooth, chemically inert surface between the water and the steel body. This coating does not react with hard water, chlorinated supply water, or the mineral deposits common in most Indian cities. It stays intact and hygienic throughout the life of the tank, which is why Hyundai backs it with a 7-year warranty on the inner lining.

The Fast-Hydro coil is an internal heat exchanger built into the tank that connects to a secondary heat source — such as a solar thermal collector or a boiler circuit. When this secondary source is active, heat transfers into the stored water through the coil, cutting total heating time by up to 50%. For homeowners with rooftop solar panels or businesses that want to combine a heat pump with solar pre-heating, the Fast-Hydro coil makes the tank compatible with a fully hybrid system.

The tank uses CFC-free polyurethane foam insulation with a minimum thickness of 40mm and a heat loss coefficient of no more than 16W/m³·K. In practice, this means water heated to 60°C in the evening will still be well above 55°C the following morning, even in a cool ambient environment. The insulation reduces how often the heat pump or heating element needs to run to maintain temperature, which directly lowers your electricity consumption over time.

Standard water heater elements fail quickly in Indian hard water conditions, often within two to three years in cities like Mumbai or Chennai. The Plus Series glass-lined tank uses Incoloy 800 twin heating elements — a nickel-iron-chromium alloy that resists pitting, scaling, and corrosion in hard or chemically aggressive water. These elements last significantly longer than standard nichrome or stainless steel options, reducing replacement frequency and the maintenance cost it brings.

The magnesium anode rod sits inside the tank and works continuously to protect the steel body and enamel lining from corrosion. It does this by corroding slowly in place of the tank itself — a process called cathodic protection. Hyundai uses a steel-core magnesium rod with at least 200g of magnesium per square metre of enamel surface, which delivers strong, long-lasting protection. Checking and replacing the anode rod every two to three years keeps the tank protected for its full service life.

Every Hyundai glass-lined tank includes a factory-fitted T&P (Temperature and Pressure) relief valve. This valve opens automatically if internal temperature or pressure exceeds safe limits, preventing tank damage or failure. The automatic thermostat maintains your set water temperature and cuts power if the water overheats — no manual reset required. Both systems work independently, so the tank stays protected even if one system is not triggered.

Hyundai’s fully automated production lines handle the entire heat pump manufacturing process—from metal fabrication and surface finishing to domestic hot water tank assembly—ensuring high-quality HVAC systems with faster delivery and consistent performance.

Pune, Maharashtra
"I have installed many storage tanks over the years, and the Hyundai glass-lined range is among the better-built ones I have worked with. The enamel coating is clearly applied evenly, and the anode rod is properly sized. I have had zero callbacks related to inner corrosion or enamel failure on the units I have installed so far. For hard water areas like Pune, this is the tank I recommend to customers."
Kochi, Kerala
"We paired the 200L glass-lined tank with a Hyundai heat pump, and the combination works beautifully. The Fast-Hydro coil connects to our rooftop solar collector and the heat pump tops up whatever the solar does not cover. Water is hot by mid-morning without the heat pump running at all on clear days. The 7-year warranty on the tank gave us confidence in the purchase."
Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
"We specified the Hyundai glass-lined tanks for a 60-unit residential project. The combination of the enamel inner coating and the magnesium anode rod was important to us, given the hard water in this area. Two years since the handover, and we have had no reported issues with tank performance or water quality across any of the flats. That track record matters when you are building at scale."
Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
"The water supply in Lucknow is quite hard, and we have had tanks fail within three years before. The Hyundai tank has now been running for over two years without any issues. The insulation is clearly good — water heated in the evening is still at a comfortable temperature in the morning without any reheating overnight. The build quality feels solid, and the 7-year warranty backs that up."
•Glass-lined tanks resist corrosion better in hard water conditions common in India. The enamel coating creates a protective layer that does not react with minerals. Unlike stainless steel, it prevents scaling and damage over time, making it safer for long-term use and better for maintaining water quality.
•The magnesium anode rod protects the tank by attracting corrosion to itself instead of the tank surface. Over time, it wears out and needs replacement. In most Indian water conditions, it should be checked and replaced every 2–3 years, or sooner in areas with very hard or aggressive water.
•Yes, the tank is designed for outdoor use. It has a protective outer coating that resists heat, rain, and corrosion. The durable casing also protects against impact and harsh weather, making it suitable for terraces in Indian conditions, including high temperatures and monsoon humidity.
•Yes, the Fast-Hydro coil allows connection to a second heat source like solar panels or a boiler. It helps transfer extra heat into the tank, reducing heating time. This makes the system more efficient and ideal for hybrid setups using both heat pumps and solar energy.
•Incoloy 800 heating element is used in this series. It is highly resistant to corrosion and scaling, which are common in Indian water. Unlike standard materials, it lasts longer even in hard or chemically treated water. This reduces the risk of early failure and lowers maintenance and replacement costs over time.
•The tank uses thick insulation to retain heat effectively. Water heated in the evening loses only a small amount of temperature overnight. This means hot water remains available in the morning, reducing the need for reheating and helping save energy.
•The warranty covers the tank body and internal lining against manufacturing defects and leakage. It does not cover damage from misuse, high pressure, improper maintenance, or physical damage. Regular servicing and timely replacement of parts like the anode rod are required to maintain warranty validity.
•Yes, the tank includes a T&P relief valve as a standard safety feature. It automatically releases excess pressure or temperature to prevent damage. The valve meets Indian plumbing standards, and proper installation with a safe discharge line is required for correct operation.
